■ご使用にあたって

●充電のしかた

・止まっている時計（KINETIC）を動かす場合に下記の方法「①∼②」で行なってください。

・充電量が少なくなり（秒針が２秒運針の状態等）追加充電したい場合は「①」の振りかたを

ご参照ください。

・ストップウオッチは、充電されていない（＝時計が止まっている）と操作ができませんので、

充電をしてから操作してください。（→「■ストップウオッチについて」を参照）

①時計を下図のように矢印の方向に振ってください。（手振り）

１秒間に２往復のリズムで、約

200回（往復）連続で振ってください。

この方法で充電すると、止まっている時計（秒針）が動きはじめ、2秒

運針から通常の1秒運針になります。約

200回振り終わっても秒針が2

秒運針のままの場合は、1秒運針になるまでさらに振り続けてください

。

振り終わったら、1秒運針になっていることをご確認ください。

※１秒間に２往復の早さで、約20cm位の距離を往復させるように振っていた

だくと、最も効率的です。

※極端に早く激しく振っても効率の良い充電はできません

。

※発電機を回す音が聞こえますが、異常ではありません。

②さらに振り続けて１日分程度の充電をしてから携帯することをお勧め

します。

目安として約200回（往復）の手振りで、１日分の充電量を追加ができる

とお考えください。

※この時計はフル充電で「1ヶ月」以上の充電量が得られますが、ご使用前に

フル充電にしていただく必要はありません。

Solution

Charge the watch referring to "How to charge the watch".

When the watch returns to normal temperature, the condition will be corrected. Set the time again.

The watch is so adjusted that it works with stable accuracy when worn on your wrist at a normal

temperature range between 5℃ and 35℃.

When the watch is kept away from close contact with the magnetic source, the condition will be

corrected. Set the time again. If the condition persists, contact the retailer from whom the watch was

purchased.

The watch may stop operating in 12 hours. Charge the watch referring to "・How to charge the

■製品の特長

一般のクオーツ式の腕時計はボタン型電池で動きますが、KINETICは“時計を振る”ことによっ

て内蔵された発電機が回され、発電した電気をキネティックE.S.Uに蓄えて時計を動かすという

SEIKO独自の機構を持ったクオーツ時計です。従って、電池交換の必要はありません。

フル充電になると

、約１ヶ月動き続けます。

この時計は、ストップウオッチ機能を備えています。１/10秒単位12時間計です。このストップ

ウオッチは約12時間経過後、自動的に止まります。

また、ストップウオッチ針の帰零方式（リセット）としてメカ式のハートカム方式を備えている

ので、４本の針が素早く戻ります。

・あなたの腕の動きを電気に変換して蓄える方式です。静止したままでは、充電され

ません。

・目安として１日10時間以上の携帯をおすすめします。

注意

■REMARKS ON AFTER-SALES SERVICING

・If the watch requires service, take it to the retailer from whom the watch was purchased. If the

trouble occurs within the guarantee period, submit the cirtificate of guarantee together with the

watch.

・For repair after the guarantee period or for any other information reganding the watch, contact

the retailer from whom the watch was purehased or the "CUSTOMER SERVICE

DEPARTMENT" of SEIKO CORPORATION.

・Guarantee coverage is spelled out in the certificate of guarantee. Please read it carefully and

keep the certificate for ready reference.

■REMARKS ON REPLACEMENT PARTS

・SEIKO makes it policy to usually keep a stock of spare parts for its watches for 7 years. In

principle, your watch can be reconditioned within this period if used normally. (Replacement

parts are those which are essential to maintaining the functional integrity of the watch.)

・The number of years that a watch is considered repairable may very greatly depending on the

conditions under which it was used, and normal accuracy may not be achieved in some cases.

We recommend, therefore, that you consult the retailer from whom the watch was purchased

when having them repair your watch.

・The case, dial, hands, glass and bracelet, or parts thereof may be replaced with substitutes if

the originals are not available.

●２秒運針になったら（秒針が一度に２目盛ずつ運針する状態）

・携帯中または外してある時計が２秒運針を始めると、12時間以内に時計が止まる可能性があ

りますので、充電してください。（→「●充電のしかた」を参照）

・ストップウオッチを使用中の場合は、１∼２時間以内に止まる可能性がありますので、ご注

意ください。

※この状態でストップウオッチが作動し続けると、時計が止まる直前にストップウオッチの動きが不安

定になる場合があります。

■TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem

The watch has stopped operating.

The watch temporarily gains or loses

time.

Blur on the dial glass persists.

The second hand moves at two-

second intervals.

The second hand frequently moves at

two-second intervals even if you wear

the watch daily on your wrist.

The date changes at 12 o'clock noon.

Possible cause

All the electrical energy stored in the KINETIC E.S.U. has been

used up.

The watch has been left in extremely high or low temperatures

for a long time.

The watch was brought into close contact with a magnetic

object.

You dropped the watch, hit it against a hard surface or wore it

while playing active sports.

The watch was exposed to strong vibrations.

Small amount of water has got inside the watch due to

deterioration of the gasket, etc.

The electrical energy stored in the KINETIC E.S.U. has been

reduced to an extremely low level.

You wear the watch daily but only for short time, or you lead a

relatively sedentary life, which does not involve much arm

movement.

AM/PM is not properly set.

※午前2時∼午前６時の間、日付けの修正に節度感がなくなる場合がありますが、故障ではありません。こ

れは、特殊な構造（瞬間日送り機構）のためです。

③秒針が12時（０秒）位置にきたら、リュウズを2段目まで引き出してください。（秒針が止まり

ます）リュウズを左に回して、今日の日付けになるまで時刻を進めてください

。

④日付けは24時間に１回変わるように設定されていますので、午前午後を間違えないように合わ

せてください。時計の構造上、分針を合わせる時刻より一旦４∼５分進めてから逆にもどすよ

うにして合わせてください。

※時刻合わせは、電話の時報サービスTEL.117が便利です。

■時刻・日付けの合わせかた

充電ができたら、日付け・時刻を合せてください。

〈日付け・時刻の合わせかた〉

①リュウズを1段目まで引き出してください。

リュウズが引き出せない（ネジロック式リュウズ）モデルは

リュウズを左に回してネジをゆるめ、リュウズを１段目まで

引き出します。

②リュウズを左に回して日付けを前日に合わせます。

※時刻が午前12時∼午前２時を示していると、日付けの修正ができない場合があります。

この場合は、リュウズを２段目まで引き出し、リュウズを左に回して一旦時刻を午前２時より進めて

から、リュウズを再び１段目にして日付けを合わせてください。

⑤時報と同時にリュウズを押し込んでください。

⑥さらにリュウズを押し付けながら右に回し、リュウズが止まるまでネジ込んでください。

〈月末の日付けの修正について〉

・この時計の日付け表示は１日∼31日となっています。小の月（２,４,６,９,11月）の場合は、

月末または、月初に日付けを合わせ直す必要があります。

①リュウズを1段目まで引き出してください。

リュウズが引き出せない（ネジロック式リュウズ）モデルは

リュウズを左に回してネジをゆるめ、リュウズを１段目まで

引き出します。

②リュウズを左に回して今日の日付けに合わせます。

（例）月が変わって今日が「１日」だった場合、日付けを

「１日」に進めます。

●RASH AND ALLERGY

・Adjust the bracelet or band so that there will be a little clearance between the bracelet or band and your

wrist to avoid accumulation of perspiration.

・If you are predisposed to skin rashes, the band may cause you to develop a rash or an itch.

・The possible causes of the rash are as follows:

1. Allergy to metals or leathers

2. Rust, dust or perspiration on the watch or band

・If you develop any skin reactions, take off the watch and consult a doctor immediately.

●PLACES TO KEEP YOUR WATCH

・If the watch is left at temperature below -10

℃ or above +50℃ for a long time it may function

improperly or stop operating.

・Do not leave the watch in a place where it is subjected to strong magnetism or static

electricity.

・Do not leave the watch where there are strong vibrations.

・Do not leave the watch in a dusty place.

・Do not expose the watch to gases or chemicals.

(Ex.: Organic solvents such as benzine and thinner, gasoline, nail polish, cosmetic spray,

detergent, adhesives, mercury, and iodine antiseptic solution.)

・Do not leave the watch in a hot spring, and do not keep it in a drawer having insecticides

inside.

●PRECAUTIONS ON WEARING YOUR WATCH

Take utmost care in the following cases:

・When clasping and unclasping the band, you may damage your finger nail, finger depending on the type of

clasp used with the band.

・In case you fall or bump into others with the watch worn on your wrist, you may be injured by the reason of

the fact that you wear the watch.

・When you make contact with children, especially with infants, they may get injured or develop a rush

caused by allergy.

・If your watch is of the fob or pendant type, the strap or chain attached to the watch may damage your

clothes, or injure the hand, neck, or other parts of your body.

CAUTION
