Select the image type that meets the original. Selecting the original type

allows you to take a more suitable scanning.

■TEXT/LINE

Select this for an original having mixed characters and line drawings.

■TEXT/PHOTO

Select this for an original having mixed characters and photographs.

■PHOTO

Select this for general photographs.

■BLUE PRINT

Select this for blue-printed original.

◆ For the original with dark background and thin lines, select

BLUE PRINT here and also set the contrast adjustment (⇒

page 3-28) to “Bright”, so that optimum copy can be performed.
