時計が止まった

時計が一時的に進む／遅れる

ガラスのくもりが消えない

秒針が２秒運針をしている

毎日携帯しているが、たびたび２秒

運針をみることがある。

日付けが、日中に変わる

考えられる原因

充電した電気エネルギーがなくなった

暑いところ、または、寒いところへ放置した。

落としたり強くぶつけたりまたは激しいスポーツをした。

●日常のお手入れ

・ケースやバンドは肌着類と同様に直接肌に接しています。汚れたままにしておくとサビて衣類の袖

口を汚したり、かぶれの原因になることがありますので常に清潔にしてご使用ください。

・時計を外したときは、柔らかい布などで汗や水分を拭き取ってください。汚れも取れ、ケース・バ

ンド及びパッキンの寿命が違ってきます。

〈革バンド〉

・革バンドは、柔らかい布などで吸い取るように軽くふいてください。こするようにふくと色が落ち

たり、ツヤがなくなったりする場合があります。

〈金属バンド〉

・金属バンドは、ときどき柔らかい歯ブラシなどを使い、部分洗いなどのお手入れをお願いします。

その際に、非防水の時計の場合には時計本体に水がかからないようにご注意ください。

〈軟質プラスチックバンド〉

・ウレタンバンド等軟質プラスチックでできているバンドは、特に手入れの必要はありませんが、汚

れがひどいときには石鹸水で洗ってください。化学製品ですので溶剤によって変質することがあり

ます。通常数年のご使用で材質が硬化してきたり、色があせたりする場合がありますので、その際

は新しいバンドに交換してください。

●非防水時計は、水（水道の水はね、雨、雪など）や多量の汗にご注意ください。万一、水や汗でぬ

れた場合には吸収性のよい布などで水分をふきとってください。

●日常生活用強化防水時計は、海水中などでの使用のあと、化学薬品類を使用せず、ためた真水で洗

ってください。

●回転ベゼルつきの時計の場合、ベゼル下に汚れなどがたまり、回転が重くなることがありますので

清潔にしてご使用ください。

■HOW TO USE THE STOPWATCH

●The stopwatch can measure up to 12 hours, 6 minutes and 12.2 seconds in 1/10 second

increments.

●The measured time is indicated by small STOPWATCH hands that move independently of the

hands for time indication.

TIPS ON READING THE HANDS

The STOPWATCH minute hand turns a full circle in 30 minutes. The indicated scale, therefore,

should be read differently depending on the position of the STOPWATCH hour hand.

Ex.) When the STOPWATCH minute hand indicates "10":

Measured time is either "10 minutes" or "40 minutes". Check the position of the STOPWATCH

hour hand to decide which to choose.

"1 hour and 10 minutes"

(The hour hand is nearer to the 1-hour marker.)

"1 hour and 40 minutes"

(The hour hand is nearer to the 2-hour marker.)

●その他

、携帯上ご注意いただきたいこと

・バンドの着脱の際に中留めなどで爪を傷つける恐れがありますのでご注意ください。

・転倒時や他人との接触などにおいて、時計の装着が原因で思わぬケガを負う場合があります

ので、ご注意ください。

・特に乳幼児を抱いたりする場合は、時計に触れることでケガを負ったり、アレルギーによる

かぶれをおこしたりする場合もありますので、十分にご注意ください。

かぶれやアレルギーについて

・バンドは多少余裕を持たせ、通気性をよくしてご使用ください。

・かぶれやすい体質の人や、体調によっては、皮膚にかゆみやかぶれをきたすことがあります。

・かぶれの原因として考えられるのは、

１．金属・皮革に対するアレルギー

２．時計本体及びバンドに発生した錆、汚れ、付着した汗などです。

・万一肌などに異常を生じた場合は、ただちに使用を中止し、医師にご相談ください。

注意

・提げ時計やペンダント時計の場合、ひもやチェーンによって大切な衣類や手・首などを傷つける事

がありますので、ご注意ください。

このようにしてください

「●充電のしかた」を参照して、充電してください。

常温に戻れば元の精度に戻ります。時刻を合わせ直してください。この時計は気温５℃∼35

℃で腕につけたときに安定した時間精度が得られるように調整してあります。

磁気を遠ざけると、元の精度に戻ります。時刻を合わせ直してください。

●保管について

※この時計は、気温５℃∼35℃において腕につけた時に安定した精度を得られるように調整してあ

ります。よって、温度によって多少の進み遅れが生ずることがありますが、常温にもどれば元の

精度にもどります。

・磁気や静電気の影響があるところに放置しないでください。

・強い振動のあるところに放置しないでください。

・極端にホコリの多いところに放置しないでください。

・薬品の蒸気が発散しているところや薬品にふれるところに放置しないでください。

（薬品の例：ベンジン、シンナーなどの有機溶剤、およびそれらを含有するもの＝ガソリン、

マニキュア、化粧品などのスプレー液、クリーナー剤、トイレ用洗剤、接着剤など＝水銀、

ヨウ素系消毒液など）

・温泉や、防虫剤の入った引き出しなど特殊な環境に放置しないでください。

●定期点検について

・ながくご愛用いただくために、２∼３年に１度程度の点検調整をおすすめします。定期的

な点検により目に見えない部分が原因となる損傷を未然に防ぎ、より安心してご使用いた

だけます。

点検の結果によっては調整・修理を必要とする場合があります。

●部品交換の時は、「セイコー純正部品」とご指定ください。

・定期点検の際にはパッキンやバネ棒の交換もあわせてご依頼ください。

■FEATURES

Unlike the conventional quartz watch powered by the button-type battery, the KINETIC is equipped

with an automatic power generating system developed by SEIKO. It generates the electrical

energy to power the watch, utilizing the movement of the arm or wrist, and stores it in the KINETIC

ELECTRICITY STORAGE UNIT (KINETIC E.S.U.), a power source completely different from,

conventional batteries for watches. The watch, therefore, dose not require battery replacement.

When the watch is fully charged, it will keep operating for approximately one month.

When The watch is provided with a stopwatch function. The stopwatch can measure up to 12

hours in 1/10 second increments, and after 12 hours, it stops automatically. It uses a heart-cam

system that puts back the four stopwatch hands to "0" position quickly as the stopwatch is reset in

the same manner as those of mechanical stopwatches.

・ The movement of the arm while the watch is worn causes the automatic power generating system to

work, and the watch is powered by the electrical energy thus generated.

Therefore, the watch will not be charged while left unused.

・As a guideline of recharging, it is recommended that the watch be worn on your wrist daily for more than

10 hours.

■HOW TO USE

●How to charge the watch

・To start the watch, follow the procedure from the steps ① and ② below.

・When the energy stored in the KINETIC E.S.U. is reduced to an extremely low level, the second

hand starts moving at two-second intervals. In that case, follow the step ① bellow to recharge

the watch sufficiently.

・When the energy stored in the KINETIC E.S.U. is used up, the watch stops completely, and the

stopwatch operation cannot be made. Before using the stopwatch, therefore, be sure to

recharge the watch sufficiently. (See "■ NOTES ON THE STOPWATCH".)

① Swing the watch from side to side as shown in the illustration below.

Swing approximately 200 times rhythmically at a rate

of twice a second. This will start the watch operating

with the second hand moving at two-second intervals

at first, and then at the normal one-second intervals.

If the second hand continues moving at two-second

intervals after 200 swings, swing it further until it

moves at one-second intervals.

After swinging the watch, check that the second hand

is moving at one-second intervals.

★ To charge the KINETIC E.S.U. efficiently, swing the watch from side to side a rate of twice a

second, making an are of about 20 cm.

★No additional benefit is obtained by swinging the watch more quickly or with greater vigor.

★When the watch is swing, the oscillating weight in the generating system rotates to drive the

mechanism. As it rotates, it gives out a sound, which is not a malfunction.

② It is recommended that the watch be swung further until one day of power is reserved.

As a guideline of recharging, approximately 200 swings will reserve one day of power.

★When the watch is fully charged, it will keep operating for more than one month. It is not

necessary, however, to fully charge the watch before use.

TIME/CALENDAR SETTING

●Do not set the date between 0:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Otherwise, it may not change property.

If it is necessary to set the date during that time period, first advance the time ahead of 2:00

a.m., set the date and then reset the correct time.

●The date changed instantly when the hands move past the 12 o'clock marker at midnight.

When the date is set by turning the hands, however, it may charge gradually between 2:00

a.m. and 6:00 a.m. This is not a malfunction.

●When setting the hour hand, check that AM/PM is correctly set. The watch is so designed that

the calendar changes once in 24 hours.

Turn the hands past the 12 o'clock marker to determine whether the watch is set for the A.M.

or P.M. period. If the date changes, the time is set for the A.M. period. If the date does not

change, the time is set for the P.M. period.

●When setting the minute hand, advance it 4 to 5 minutes ahead of the desired time and then

turn it back to the exact minute.

●When setting the time, make sure that the second hand is moving at one-second intervals.

●It is necessary to adjust the date at the end of February and 30-day months.

In this case, pull out the crown to the first click and turn it counterclockwise until the desired

date appears.

■HOW TO SET THE TIME AND CALENDAR

Pull out the crown to the first click position. If your watch is

one whose crown cannot be pulled out (a screw-lock type

crown), turn the crown counterclockwise to loosen the

screw, and then pull out the crown to the first click position.

Turn counterclockwise until the previous day's date appears.

Pull out to the second click when the second hand is at the

12 o'clock position. The second hand stops on the spot.

Turn counterclockwise until the desired date appears.

Set the hour and minute hands.

Push back in to the unscrewed position in accordance with a

time signal.

●入浴について

10気圧以上の防水の場合、時計をつけたまま入浴し

てもかまいませんが下記のことに注意して下さい。

・時計に、石けんやシャンプーがついた状態で、

リュウズ操作やボタン操作を行わないでくださ

い。

（防水機能が維持できなくなることがあります）

・温水で時計が温まりますと、多少の進み、遅れ

を生ずることがあります。ただし、常温にもど

れば精度はもとにもどります。
